Recognizing Those Who Make A Difference at A Celebration of Life Event

(Houston, TX) – Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center proudly marks 50 years of saving lives at its annual A Celebration of Life Luncheon and Award Ceremony on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Berry Center in Cypress, TX. The annual event will not only honor the incredible donors and Commit for Life groups that have helped shape Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center’s lifesaving mission, but also unveil an exciting vision for the next 50 years.

A Celebration of Life is more than just an awards event—it’s a tribute to the extraordinary members of our community and organizations that make saving lives possible throughout the Gulf Coast Region. This year, we’re honoring Josh, a 14-year-old, who was diagnosed with cancer at just 13. His journey through treatment was challenging, but thanks to the generosity of blood donors, he had the support he needed to fight. Today, Josh is in remission. His family is deeply grateful for the lifesaving donations that made his recovery possible.

The event will feature a luncheon alongside a special presentation on Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center’s new vision for the future. Attendees will also hear a powerful testimony from Josh and his family highlighting the life-changing impact of blood donations.
