Gulf Coast Blood Partners with State Representative Gene Wu and Alief Votes for Texas Donor Day Blood Drive

Houston, Texas – In recognition of Texas Donor Day, Gulf Coast Blood is proud to partner with the Office of State Representative Gene Wu, District 137, and Alief Votes to host a community blood drive dedicated to saving lives across the region.

The Texas Donor Day Blood Drive will take place Thursday, February 26, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 11903 Bellaire Blvd., Houston, TX 77072. Community members are encouraged to roll up their sleeves and give blood to help ensure local hospitals have the lifesaving resources they need.

Texas Donor Day highlights the power of organ, eye, tissue, and blood donation and honors the selfless Texans who give to save lives. Through this partnership, Gulf Coast Blood, Representative Wu’s office, and Alief Votes aim to increase awareness about the ongoing need for blood donations, especially as hospital demand remains steady year-round.

Gulf Coast Blood aims to collect approximately 1,000 blood donations each day to serve more than 170 hospitals across the region. One blood donation can help save up to three lives.
