Gulf Coast Blood to Honor Community Hero Edward Hsieh for 100‑Gallon
Blood Donation Milestone
HOUSTON, Texas — Gulf Coast Blood will honor longtime donor Edward Hsieh (pronounced “Shay”) today at Gulf Coast Blood – Cy-Fair, for reaching an extraordinary milestone: donating 100 gallons of blood over the course of his lifetime.
Donating 100 gallons is an exceptionally rare achievement. It’s one that reflects decades of dedication to helping community members in need. Through his consistent commitment, Mr. Hsieh has helped save and sustain thousands of lives across our Gulf Coast region.
“Edward Hsieh embodies the spirit of true community service,” said Kevin Shipley, Associate Vice President of Community Engagement at Gulf Coast Blood. “Reaching 100 gallons is not only remarkable, it’s profoundly impactful. His unwavering generosity has touched countless families, and we’re honored to recognize him for this milestone.”
During the celebration, Gulf Coast Blood staff and leadership will gather to thank Mr. Hsieh for his lifesaving contributions. He will be presented with a commemorative 100‑gallon milestone mug and a recognition letter from Gulf Coast Blood Chief Growth Officer Theresa Pina.
