Ward Scott

Director of Quality Assurance

Ward Scott is the Director of Quality Assurance where he collaborates with departments to uphold excellence in blood banking practices and ensure compliance with industry, federal, and international regulations. Ward began his career at Gulf Coast Blood in 1991 in Product Management and transitioned to Quality Assurance in 1994. He later took on a role in Education and Training, where he spent 24 years driving innovation and growth. 

During his time in Education and Training, Ward's team developed e-learning modules that were licensed internationally, enhancing the company’s reputation and expanding its impact to audiences in 22 countries across 5 continents. He also shared his expertise by speaking to professional groups on topics such as e-learning development and learning management systems.

In 2025, Ward was promoted to Quality Assurance Director, where he remains committed to maintaining Gulf Coast Blood’s outstanding track record in manufacturing, compliance, and customer service.

Outside of work, Ward enjoys spending time with his family, especially his first grandson. He also pursues creative hobbies like woodworking and photography, which allow him to express his artistic side.
