Mike Bell

Director of Building & Fleet

Michael Bell is the Director of Building and Fleet Management where he oversees maintenance for 19 facilities, including Neighborhood Donor Centers (NDC), a centralized Mobile Operations Complex (MOC), two Regional Operations locations, and the main Headquarters production facility. He and his team manage a fleet of over 150 vehicles, including cars, vans, and donor coaches, ensuring they are always operational to support donors, transport blood, and facilitate the essential services that help save lives every day. Additionally, Michael supervises all construction and design projects within the organization.

A native Houstonian and a graduate of Stephen F. Austin University, Michael brings over 35 years of experience in building, construction, and fleet management. He has led the construction of numerous facilities, including various buildings, departments, and labs across the Blood Center system. Michael has also spearheaded recovery efforts in response to hurricanes, fires, and floods throughout his career.

In his spare time, Michael enjoys traveling with his family, listening to live music, fishing, and engaging in outdoor activities.
