Kevin Shipley

Associate Vice President of Community Engagement

Kevin Shipley serves as the Associate Vice President of Community Engagement at Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center where he oversees Donor Recruitment, Marketing, and Customer Experience. A Baytown native, Kevin began his career in blood banking in 2005. His passion for community service and a commitment to helping the patients in the Greater Houston Area who require blood transfusions every day led him to Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center. He started as a blood drive recruiter and quickly advanced to leadership roles, including Donor Recruitment Manager and Director of Donor Recruitment in 2017. In these roles, he successfully led a team of six managers and 40 staff members, coordinating over 7,500 blood drives annually and collecting more than 200,000 blood products from mobile donors. Promoted to Associate Vice President in 2024, Kevin continues to bring visionary leadership and a results-driven approach to his work. His dedication to saving lives and strengthening community partnerships ensures Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center remains at the forefront of healthcare support in the region.

Kevin earned his MBA from the University of Houston Clear Lake in 2008. Outside of work, he enjoys volunteering at his church, woodworking, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
