Bart Block serves as the Associate Vice President of Management Information Systems at Gulf Coast Blood, where he brings decades of expertise in advancing technology and operational excellence. He leads a comprehensive portfolio that includes administration of controlled systems, data quality, application development, business intelligence, IT, networks and communications, cybersecurity, and records management. His leadership ensures the seamless integration of disparate systems to support the center's mission.
A proud Texas A&M University alumnus, Bart has a Bachelor of Science degree and an MBA. Before joining Gulf Coast Blood in 1996, Bart worked as a biomedical engineer, leveraging his technical acumen to support the manned spaceflight program. Over the years, he has taken on roles of increasing responsibility, spearheading the implementation of numerous transformative systems and technology advancements that have enhanced operational efficiency and service delivery.
Bart is highly regarded in the industry, having represented Gulf Coast Blood in various forums and conferences, where his insights and contributions have established him as a trusted thought leader in the field of management information systems.
