Jeanna Bamburg, FACHE, CHT, is the Chief Executive Officer of The Woman's Hospital of Texas. She is board certified in healthcare management as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and holds certification as a Healthcare Trustee from Texas Healthcare Trustees. With over 30 years of hospital leadership experience, Jeanna brings extensive expertise as a seasoned healthcare executive.
As CEO, Jeanna is thrilled to lead the first hospital in Texas dedicated to the health of women and newborns. By offering outstanding care in breast health, imaging, gynecology, obstetrics, high-risk pregnancy, neonatology, pediatrics, minimally-invasive surgery, The Woman’s Hospital of Texas continues its legacy as the best place for Houston’s women to receive care.
In her previous roles, Jeanna led her hospitals, outpatient centers and physician practices in tremendous growth in patient volumes, quality metrics, patient satisfaction scores, physician engagement scores and employee engagement. Under her leadership, her hospitals were named a Modern Healthcare Best Place to Work as well as a Houston Business Journal Best Place to Work for a decade.
Jeanna has been named on the list of Houston’s Most Admired CEOs, Houston’s Women Who Mean Business, Houston’s Breakthrough Women, Houston Most Influential Women and is the proud recipient of the Kathryn S. Stream Award.
Along with her work in healthcare, Jeanna serves on the Boards of Houston’s Alley Theatre, Gulf Coast Blood and Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce. She is proud to have served as the 2022 & 2023 March of Dimes March for Babies Houston Chairperson where she led the teams raising over $3 million, landing in the nation’s top spot for both walkers and funds raised.
Jeanna has a MBA from the University of Houston–Clear Lake. She is a past elected Southeast Texas Regent for American College of Healthcare Executives and a former member of the Texas Healthcare Trustees Board of Directors.
Jeanna is a graduate of the Texas Hospital Association Leadership Fellows Program, the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce Women on Board and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health Executive and Continuing Professional Education’s Women on Boards.
Jeanna and her husband, Wesley, are the parents of two young adults; son, Fisher, is an engineering student at Louisiana State University and daughter, Claire, is a middle grade education major at Baylor University. In her leisure time, Jeanna and her family enjoy weekends at the lake, international travel, theatre and sporting events and the pursuit of growing the perfect vegetable garden.
