About the Commit for Life Diversity Program
Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center's Diversity Commit for Life program is focused on increasing awareness of the need and building lasting relationships in the African-American and Hispanic communities to in turn diversify our current donor pool and help save more lives.
Less than 5 percent of the community donates blood, and of that, less than 10 percent are African-American and less than 20 percent are Hispanic. Our objective is to increase the number of blood donations from members of all diverse communities to continue our mission of saving lives.
